MenMyParents — please read before using the app

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and MenMyParents (“we”, “us”) governing your use of the MenMyParents mobile application and website at menmyparents.com. By creating an account you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

These Terms are published under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 of India, and are governed by Indian law.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

6. Your content

You retain ownership of the voice recordings, photos, and calendar entries you upload (“Your Content”). By uploading, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, process, and display Your Content solely to operate the service for you and your family members.

We do not use Your Content to train AI models, and we do not share it with third parties except as described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Our content and intellectual property

The MenMyParents name, logo, designs, software, and all app content are our intellectual property or that of our licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

8. Service availability

We aim to keep the service available 24/7, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may be unavailable due to maintenance, network issues, or events beyond our control. We are not liable for any loss caused by such unavailability.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The app is provided “as is” and “as available”. MenMyParents is not a medical, emergency, or surveillance service. Missed check-in alerts are convenience features only and must not be relied upon for medical or emergency response. In an emergency, call the national helpline 112.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted under Indian law, our total aggregate liability arising from or related to your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or ₹1,000, whichever is greater.

We are not liable for indirect, consequential, incidental, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of profits, or emotional distress.

In accordance with the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 and the DPDP Act 2023, we have appointed a Grievance Officer. See our Grievance Officer page for details.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, subject to applicable consumer-protection laws.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified in-app. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
